Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on 8 August 1976. She was oldest among four kids. Her parents, who have a doctor for teeth and a school teacher were supportive and encouraged by her early love for drama as well as theatre. The initial goal of her to become a master monkey was eclipsed by her wish to study theater and drama. Her meteoric rise as an actor in the young age was quick and marked by her early successes. Following her graduation She was a part of the French show for spotting talent Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+. She won the Most Outstanding Young Actress award at Beziers Festival of Young Actors and began her professional career as an actor. Tautou was raised in the context of a Catholic home and went to religious services, despite having attended school in The Institut Catholique de Paris. She has pursued a modeling career along with her acting career. She is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel is often called the Chanel Muse. Photographing is also a obsession and she was recently shown her work at the Arles festival under the name Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on fame and celebrity and turns the camera on the journalists who scrutinised her when she exploded in fame and fortune in the film Amelie and self-portraits. Audrey Tautou's international recognition and popularity exploded after her role in the film as Amelie Poulain's leading actress in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie has been a box office hit internationally and has been lauded at numerous award festivals around the globe. It is currently the highest-grossing French film across the US. The film's success led to a huge increase in production. Tautou was later cast in a variety of films, which included British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. Tautou also appeared alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
