Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. First gymnast in history to score a 10 for an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi is a Romanian gymnastics instructor, who later became the coach for Comaneci, first discovered Comaneci at the age of six. Her first competition was in the National Junior Championships where she placed 13th in 1969. In the year 1970, she was crowned champion. In her 1972 first international meet in a preolympics junior competition that was open to countries of the communist bloc, she took home three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975, she was awarded the All-around Junior Champion. At her first competition as a senior, in 1975 she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva who was a five-time European champion winning four gold and one silver medal. She became the first female to complete a reverse double salo with the bar with a parallel surface when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the world of entertainment began in her teens, when she began skating figure alongside her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6, 1942, on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her career in the entertainment business when she was in her teens. When she was a child she started her career as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Ice Capades was a show that featured skaters ice skating performed by actors.
